Free online video tools that run on your device
Most online video tools ask you to upload your file, wait in a queue and then download the result. VimCut works the other way round. Every tool runs inside your browser, so your video is processed on your own phone or computer and is not sent to a server. That is faster for large files, safer for private footage and usable on a slow connection.
There is no account to create, no trial that expires and no watermark on what you download. You open a tool, add a file and save the result as an MP4, GIF or MP3.
Which video tool do you need?
The video compressor shrinks a large file so it fits in an email, a chat or an upload form. It has presets to compress video for WhatsApp and Discord.
Compressing is the most common job, so start there. Open the video compressor, add your file, choose Smaller file, Balanced or Best quality, and download the result. Most videos get 50 to 80 percent smaller, depending on how heavily the original was encoded.
If you only need the file to fit a limit, pick a preset instead of a level, and the tool aims for the right size on its own.
Are these online video tools really private?
Your video is read by your browser and processed on your device. It is not uploaded, so we never hold a copy and there is nothing to delete later. The page itself and the video engine are downloaded when you open a tool, as with any website, but your footage stays where it is.
That is also why there is no queue and no daily limit. The only limit is your device.
What file sizes work?
Because the work happens on your device, its memory sets the limit. Clips of a few hundred megabytes run well on most phones and laptops. VimCut warns you before a large file, from about 500 MB on a computer and lower on a phone with little memory, and it blocks files above 2 GB.
When one tool is not enough
For a bigger job, open the Studio: a timeline editor in your browser where you can arrange clips, cut, add music and export one MP4 without a watermark.
No. The tools run inside your browser, so your files are processed on your own device and are not sent to us.
Is it free?
Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no sign-up and no watermark on your files.
How large can my file be?
Because the work happens on your device, the limit is your device's memory. Most phones and laptops handle clips of a few hundred megabytes comfortably.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The tools work in modern mobile and desktop browsers. Nothing to install.
Which online video tools work without signing up?
All VimCut tools do. You can compress, trim, convert, merge, crop and mute video, make a GIF or extract audio without an account, an email address or a trial.
The Studio is a multi-track timeline. You can layer video, audio and text, trim and split clips, and export everything in one pass instead of running separate tools.
